FAQs

What kind of professionals outsource an administrative consultant?

If you are a small business owner that works out of your home, a community work space, or what I like to call, a “shoebox office,” then you need an administrative consultant. You need someone who is highly skilled and motivated to act as a right-hand partner who offers strategic support.

When you’re growing fast it’s often easier and more valuable to retain an administrative consultant to help you scale.

As an administrative consultant, what WON’T you do?

When discussing your needs, I am always transparent about administrative work that falls outside my purview. As a partner, I will outline the areas that require outsourcing and will offer solutions to establish additional partnerships as needed.

Do you offer project-based/ad-hoc support?

Yes. Ad-hoc support is a good way to get to know me if you’re wanting to try to work together on a project before committing to a monthly retainer. Curating/distributing client gifts, social media platform creation/training, or marketing packet creation/distribution are some examples of one time, ad-hoc services I provide.

What is the difference between an administrative employee and an administrative consultant?

Our relationship is that of a professional and a client. I am not a substitution or replacement for an employee, so our established boundaries are key to us working together effectively.

How do I figure out what to delegate?

I will present a plan that outlines key delegation tasks or processes.  This requires you to empower me with decision making capabilities that will best serve your business.

How can we work together successfully?

  1. Trust: Mutual respect is a foundational element in our success and our ability to achieve your goals.

  2. Communication: I can’t read minds (yet!) so open and transparent communication enables us to build the right infrastructure for streamlining processes.

  3. Collaboration: My services aren’t “set it and forget it.” True partnership requires attention and energy - we will work together to reach your objectives.

  4. Prioritization: Engaging with my services requires a commitment to our appointments, preparedness and reasonable expectations in order to realize the best results.

  5. Awareness: My services are not a cure-all – I’m here to support as a partner.
